What We Heard
From You
One of the first things we did, when we started to develop our
vision – what kind of church we wanted to become –
was to go door-to-door in several neighborhoods in North Fort
Collins. We asked people:

“Why don’t people go to church?”
“What kinds of things would you look for in a church?”
“What are the unmet needs in your community?”
The most consistent unmet need mentioned:
• A feeling of community!
What kind of church are people looking for?
• Good worship!
• Relevant teaching.
• Good fellowship.
• Alternate worship times
• Welcoming. Not too big.
• Good Bible teaching. Not too pushy.
• Friendly. Relaxed. Come as you are, Informal. Personable.
• Connecting. Home groups. Real relationships
• Children’s ministry and activities.
• A youth program. A bike-ride group.
• Family & community activities.
• Community outreach & involvement
• Financial accountability
This is the kind of church we want to BE!
Our desire is to plant a church with these
values
in North Fort Collins.

CORE VALUES EXPLAINED
Connecting to God:
• Bible Centered (God has connected with man).
The Scriptures are God’s inspired communication to man. We teach
them as the authority for our beliefs and daily living.
• Prayer (Connecting with God). As our Father,
God invites and instructs His children to communicate with Him
through prayer. We seek to make prayer a part of our individual and
corporate lifestyle.
• Praise & Worship (Connecting with God). God
is man’s Object of worship. Corporate worship should engage the
heart, mind, and will; and lead the worshiper into personal
communion with God. It is a means for expressing our love,
commitment, desires and faith in Him.
• Discipleship & Equipping Members. (Connecting
with God and serving Him.) God desires every Christian to grow in
Christlikeness, and He gifts every Christian to be an active
participant in His church. We seek to provide a pathway for
spiritual growth for all ages, and to help equip each person for his
unique service to the church and to others.
Connecting to One Another:
• Fellowship & Community (Connecting with one
another). Those who accept Jesus Christ as their Savior become part
of a special community, the family of God. We promote healthy,
loving relationships with one another—demonstrating the reality of
God’s reconciliation.
Connecting to Community:
• Serving our Community (Connecting with the
unchurched). We seek ways to demonstrate the love of Christ to
people, in practical ways. And, since God has commissioned the
church to tell the whole world about His good news of salvation
through Jesus Christ, we seek to share this good news with our
community. We also support like-minded missions in taking the Gospel
to other parts of the world. In the future, our desire is to help
start new churches in other communities. We also promote
neighborhood events and activities, which create healthy family and
community relationships.
